Carter and Hope continued to discuss his idea to grow Forrester in the designers' office. Carter thought it would be a game-changer in many ways. Hope said it was good to see Carter excited and passionate about something. She told Carter she believed in him.

Carter and Hope complained about Steffy always wanting to cut Hope's line and how she rejected Ivy. Hope said Carter cared about the company overall and lamented how Steffy didn’t believe in Hope For The Future the way Carter did.

Carter and Hope agreed that Steffy used personal feelings to make business decisions. Hope told Carter to use Ridge’s friendship to his advantage. She said Carter should talk to his friend, share his ideas, and get him on his side.

Carter admitted that he had gone to the Forresters with his ideas before but had been shot down. Hope said Ridge and Steffy were risk-adverse. Carter said he felt like they were holding them back. Hope reminded Carter he was the COO and had the right to call a meeting. “You can speak to Steffy and Ridge. I know they will see what I see, which is a leader with a strong vision for the future of this company,” Hope gushed.

In the CEO’s office, Steffy told Ridge that she was questioning Carter’s judgment. She noted that she had never seen Carter so strident about holding onto a failing line. “Hope For The Future buyers are dropping like flies and don’t have faith in us anymore,” Steffy said.

Steffy told Ridge that Ivy came and pitched revamping the jewelry line to promote HFTF. “He brought Ivy on his own?” Ridge asked, surprised. Steffy said she was completely blindsided and rejected the idea.

Steffy explained that they were putting everything they had into the bedroom line, and then there was couture and Hope’s floundering line. “Do we really want to invest more time and money into jewelry?” Steffy asked. Ridge wasn’t sure but knew it had been a success in the past.

Ridge and Steffy liked the idea of bringing back Ivy but weren’t sure if it was worth the risk. Ridge noted that Carter wouldn’t agree. “I’m already concerned about Carter, especially the way he’s fighting for Hope and her line. Makes me wonder if something more isn’t going on,” Steffy said.

At Eric’s house, Ivy and Electra settled in for a visit. Electra looked around and noted she felt like she was in a whole other world. .”This is not at all how I grew up,” Electra said. Ivy explained they had come to town hoping to reboot the jewelry line at Forrester but that Steffy didn’t like the idea.

Eric asked if Ivy had been in contact with Quinn, but she hadn’t. Ivy noted that Quinn taught her everything she knew and wanted to bring her talent to Forrester. Eric liked the idea and said he would talk to Steffy about it.

Ivy appreciated the offer but was concerned it would appear as she went over Steffy’s head. Eric assured her that Ridge and Steffy knew what they were doing as co-CEOs but that he trusted Carter’s opinion as well. “If he thinks it’s a good enough idea to present it, then they should listen,” Eric decided.

Eric asked Electra and Ivy where they were staying. When he found out they were at a hotel, Eric insisted they stay with him instead. “This is the Forrester family home and your home, too,” Eric said. Electra smiled with tears in her eyes.

In the salon, Will and Zende chatted. Will told him that he had met a girl who had hoped to work on a Forrester jewelry line. Zende said he must have heard wrong, as they don’t have that type of line. Will said her name was Electra, but Zende didn’t know her. Zende got a message from Steffy to come to the CEO's office, so he took his design book and left. Will remained behind and recalled meeting Electra, which made him smile.

Zende went upstairs and told Ridge and Steffy that, as lead designer, he thought HFTF was headed in a solid direction. They agreed he had done some of his best designs, but the buyers weren’t committing. “The line’s not where it needs to be,” Ridge explained.

Zende understood but assured Ridge and Steffy that everything possible was being done to turn it around for HFTF. Hope and Carter walked in and interrupted their meeting.

Steffy and Ridge explained that they were telling Zende that buyers were starting to bail on HFTF, and they weren’t sure if they would recover. “I don’t think we have a choice this time. We either have to cut the funding or cut the line completely,” Steffy explained. Well, in the previous meeting, you said…” Hope started to say, but Carter silenced her.

“Hope, if you don’t mind,” Carter said as others raised eyebrows. Carter suggested that Ridge and Steffy put their continued concerns about HFTF aside and move on to a new mindset instead. “Thinking outside the box will guarantee Forrester’s future to be bigger than we ever dreamed of,” Carter began. He looked at Hope, who gave him a nod of encouragement.

“You already know how I feel about the jewelry line reboot,” Steffy said, “No amount of grandstanding is going to paint it in a different light.” Carter snickered at Steffy and said, “Just to be clear, Ivy and the jewelry line is only one small step in the growth I’m envisioning.”

Carter explained that he had been planning and studying how to expand Forrester Creations with mergers and acquisitions for months. As Hope and Zende beamed, Carter shared his idea of taking over undervalued companies and building a large conglomerate. He suggested luxury items under the Forrester name, such as spirits, leather goods, fragrances, and other fashion houses.

Carter concluded by saying instead of considering cutting HFTF or saying no to Ivy, to think on a grander scale to make Forrester bigger and better. “We can do it today!” Carter said. Ridge watched quizzically as Carter and Hope turned to smile at each other.
