The Bold and the Beautiful Recap, May 19, 2025: Finn gives Liam more devastating news

What happened on The Bold and the Beautiful

Hope walked around Brooke's living room in her denim shorts outfit, deep in thought. She even seemed pleased, yet surprised, when Steffy walked in the front door. Steffy said she was there to check up on Hope, who thanked her for telling her about Liam. She was glad to have time to prepare for what was coming.

Steffy stressed how Liam's biggest concern was his daughters. "There's no replacing Liam," Steffy said. "It's going to leave such a void in the girls' lives. Nothing will be the same," Hope replied.

Liam's sister wives agreed that they had to put up a united front despite their years of differences. "I admit I was really mad at you. I couldn't even be in the same room as you...but I find myself thinking about you a lot because I know you're struggling just like me," Steffy cried.

"It really does make you realize how much time we have wasted being at odds with each other," Hope said.

Steffy finally said what Hope had been waiting to hear. "You know, Liam just wants us to get along. So, why don't we take the first step? Come back to Forrester Creations," Steffy said. Hope was stunned by Steffy's request.

"You mean that? That's a big first step, and it means more to me than you can ever know," Hope said. Steffy admitted that she wasn't ready to bring back Hope For The Future, but Hope didn't care. "Thank you. Steffy, I have been doing a lot of thinking. I recognize my role in the takeover, and it was...ill-gotten gains," Hope added.

The two women embraced and then sat down for another chat. They were determined to make sure Kelly and Beth spent as much time with Liam as possible. "We're just going to have to keep praying for a miracle," Hope said. She also wanted a united front with Steffy. "We can give him this gift. Us coming together as friends and as a family," she said.

Finn sat Liam down in his office to explain that his neuro team wanted to run more tests. Liam told Finn that his wife blabbed his brain tumor news to Hope, but assured Finn that he wasn't angry at Steffy.

"It was actually touching to see how much Hope cared...I told Hope that I think she should focus on a future with Carter," Liam said. He admitted he was worried about all his loved ones and their happiness, including Bill and his brothers.

"Liam, you have to focus on your own needs first. Pour your strength and energy into yourself," Finn advised. That statement piqued Liam's interest. "Wait, why are you saying that? Is there a chance I'll make it?" he asked. Finn refused to give him a straight answer. He just wanted Liam to continue with testing to see if there had been any change.

Liam noted his new symptoms, telling Finn he's been having some dizziness and blurred vision, but was also becoming sensitive to light. Finn took Liam for his scans. Afterward, Liam waited for news as his hands shook. "I promise I'll let you know everything I do as soon as they call me," Finn assured Liam.

Liam could only think of Steffy, Hope, and his daughters. "Can you promise me that you'll do everything in your power to bring Steffy and Hope together if and when I'm gone?" Liam asked. Just then, Finn got a text with Liam's results and was forced to tell him there had been no positive change.

Hearing those words devastated Liam. "I've gotta say goodbye to my kids," he said.

In his apartment, Carter listened as Daphne insisted Hope wasn't the woman for him. Daphne begged Carter to tell her why he was so upset. "You were right. The man Hope wants is Liam," Carter lamented. He explained to Daphne what he heard Hope say to Liam through Brooke's door.

"She told Liam that she doesn't want to spend another second away from him. That her future is with him and Beth," Carter said. Daphne offered her sympathy and more. She took Carter into her arms before they sat down on the couch to chat some more.

It turned out that Carter was a bit perplexed. "It was confusing because Liam? He was insisting that Hope reunite with me. Hope was the one pushing them to be together," Carter said. He was embarrassed for being so naive and said he should have listened to Daphne.

"You can let go and move on," Daphne said. She didn't want to spend the whole evening bashing Hope, but stressed that Hope and Carter may have never had a future. "I want to blame Hope, but it's me. I must be doing something wrong. I have an amazing career, incredible friends, but the thing I want the most is a family. I want a wife. I want kids. I thought I could have that with Hope," Carter sighed.

Carter felt it was probably time for Daphne to leave, but she had no intention of going anywhere. "There's no place I'd rather be if you need me. I care about you and hate seeing you sad. I miss the charming, magnetic smile of yours," Daphne purred.

"You and Hope? You aren't meant to be. Just let it float away. Open yourself up to happier and more fulfilling days," she said, before kissing Carter on the cheek.
