Ridge and Brooke continued their talk about their relationship in the CEO's office. Brooke suggested that they look to the future and said she wanted him to come back to her.
Brooke said that her and Ridge's love got her through this recent travail with Carter and Hope trying to take over the company. Brooke was not about to lose Ridge over this. "I believe in our love," Brooke said with heartfelt emotion. She added that their love can get them through anything. "Even this."
Ridge said Brooke's siding with Hope and Carter was a betrayal, but Brooke thought Ridge didn't know why she did it. She explained that she truly wanted Ridge to be back home and in their bed. "I miss you," Brooke said as she moved closer to Ridge. "Tell me you miss me, too."
At her cabin, Hope blasted Carter for siding with the Forresters over her. She couldn't believe that Carter would think that Steffy would let her stay on. "This just happened," Carter implored, "The wounds are still fresh."
Hope insisted it would be pointless for Carter to go to Steffy in a few weeks on her behalf because Steffy hates her. Hope said the only traitor present was Carter. She pointed out that it was Carter's idea to take over Forrester, and he was the one who knew about LLCs and contracts that enabled the takeover. Hope asked Carter if he believed she manipulated him. Carter said no, but that he was the man who saw the error of his ways. He told Hope not to let this tear them apart. "The error of our ways," a defeated Hope repeated. She recalled Carter kissing Daphne. Hope pointed out that Daphne put doubts in his head about her.
Hope recapped to Carter that after Daphne kissed him, she wanted Daphne to pack her bags and leave. But Carter defended her. "Why is that, Carter?" Hope asked. "Tell me, why? Or do we both know the answer to that question? I cannot believe I trusted you with my heart."
Carter maintained that Hope could trust him. His love for her had not changed. He wanted to make this right. Hope wondered how Carter could do that after she was humiliated and fired again. "You just stood there as they slandered my name," Hope said. "You keep talking about us and the dreams we shared. Whatever that was — it's over. It is over, Carter."
In the design office, Steffy and Daphne toasted the Forrester family's victory with bottles of water. "We really should get some champagne," Steffy suggested. She said none of this would have happened if Daphne hadn't brought Carter around. Daphne thought that Carter would have come around on his own, but Steffy wasn't so sure.
Taylor showed up, and Steffy told her the Forresters were back in control of their company. Taylor was happy for Steffy and Ridge. Steffy confirmed that Hope For The Future was finished and that they were rid of Hope, and that's what mattered. Taylor admitted that Hope didn't leave them much choice after what Hope had done. Taylor asked if Brooke and Carter were gone, also. Steffy said they were not and shared that she had mixed feelings about that.
Daphne suggested that Hope had no one to blame but herself for her being out at the company. Steffy said that Carter had no one to blame but himself for falling for Hope's actions, which led to the two attempting to get rid of the Forresters.
"So Carter's in, Hope's out," Tayor said. Daphne said that Hope used Carter as her instrument. Steffy gave full credit to Daphne for getting Carter to give back the company to the Forresters. Daphne believed that Carter would have gotten there on his own anyway. Steffy informed her mother that Brooke might be trying to salvage Hope's job by talking to Ridge privately. Steffy then suggested that Brooke may want something from Ridge that has nothing to do with Hope or Hope For The Future. She could want her "destiny" back.
Once Taylor knew that Ridge and Brooke were alone across the hall, she left Steffy and Daphne so she could check out what was going on with Ridge and Brooke. She entered the office and asked what was up. "Or do I have to ask?" Taylor added as she entered just as Brooke was making a move on Ridge.
Taylor told Ridge she had heard the wonderful news: The Forresters once again have control of Forrester Creations. Ridge said it was very happy news. "Is that how you feel, too, Brooke?" Taylor asked. "Of course, I'm happy — for Ridge especially," Brooke responded. "It's been an unfortunate time, and it's over. Now, we can all move forward."
Taylor surmised that Brooke's idea of moving forward meant making one last desperate appeal to Ridge. "Well," Brooke responded, "Ridge and I, we have said things to each other that we didn't necessarily mean." "That doesn't change anything," Taylor told her, "Ridge and I have recommitted to each other — in every way.
Brooke scoffed that Taylor loved reminding her of that. She said she doesn't like to think of Ridge and Taylor being together. "I have fought too long and too hard to give up on my relationship with Ridge," Brooke said, turning to Ridge. "I'm not about to now. My love will always be there...I believe you feel the same way." Brooke pointed out that Ridge would have to choose. "Who do you want to spend the rest of your life with?" Brooke asked Ridge.
Meanwhile, across the hall, Steffy thanked Daphne for putting her plans to go to Paris on hold so that the Forresters could get their company back. Daphne asked Steffy for a favor. "Anything," Steffy responded. Daphne didn't want Carter to ever know about their plan. "Wow, you've really fallen for the guy, haven't you?" Steffy asked.
