What happened on The Bold and the Beautiful
From the design office, Hope called to check in on Liam. He was as upbeat as he could be and said he would talk to her the next day. When she hung up, Hope cried in Carter’s arms, saying it was hard to accept that Liam was going to die. Carter comforted her, and they talked about how she didn’t know how to tell Beth.
Hope was grateful for the time they had with Liam, but time was limited. Carter thought Liam wouldn’t want her to focus on what he was going to miss, and focus on good memories instead. Hope lamented that Liam was being robbed of walking his daughter down the aisle or holding his grandchild in his arms. Carter agreed they all deserved more time. Hope noted that even in the face of death, Liam is worried about everyone else. “I really believe there isn’t anything Liam wouldn’t do for his family,” Hope added.
Finn and Li talked in his office at the hospital about Luna, and how Li had no hope for change. After Li got called to work, Finn reluctantly listened to Sheila’s messages. Each one got more desperate for him to call her back and to be careful. Finn tried to call Steffy, but she wasn’t answering.
Liam called Finn, looking for Steffy, as she wasn’t answering his calls either. Finn told him that something wasn’t right; he could feel it. He said that Sheila had been calling him to warn him about Luna and that Steffy was at the beach house. Liam said he was closer than Finn was and that he would head there instead.
At the beach house art center, Sheila and Luna wrestled with the gun. Steffy watched in horror as a shot rang out, and Sheila dropped to the floor. Luna then turned the gun on Steffy. Steffy wanted to call an ambulance, but Luna told her to let her think and kept the gun pointed at her.
Sheila asked Luna to call an ambulance. “You were shot in the foot, Grandma. It’s not like you’re going to die,” Luna snapped. She then ranted at Steffy about her childhood and how she needed a relationship with her father. Luna wanted Steffy to consider the pain that she was in. Steffy said she felt bad for what Luna had been through but couldn’t excuse the crimes she had committed. Luna said she just wanted a little access, and that was all she was asking. “Asking…with a gun in your hand,” Steffy corrected her.
Luna wouldn’t let Steffy even wrap Sheila’s foot. Steffy told Luna that she had tried to kill her, and now she’s shot her own grandmother. Steffy admitted she did feel bad about her childhood and that maybe, just maybe, if Finn had been her dad growing u,p she would have turned out differently. “So you do understand?” Luna gasped. Steffy told her that she would never feel safe around her. She said again that Luna was going to prison and she would never have access to Finn. She reminded her that she was heard on the wire Will wore, and she carried through with her threats.
Luna realized it was over for her. Just then, Liam burst through the door. Seeing Luna with the gun, he ran over and tried to take it away. They wrestled with the gun, and it went off. Steffy screamed, and Luna looked shocked as Liam stumbled backward, a bullet wound in the middle of his chest.
Liam fell to the floor as Steffy rushed to him. Sheila couldn’t get up so she grabbed an art supply box and knocked it to the floor. As Luna turned to see what crashed, Liam jumped up and grabbed the gun from her, pointing it at Luna. She began to mock him and said he didn’t have the guts to do anything to her and called him weak. “I’m a dead man anyway,” Liam said as he pulled the trigger.

Luna fell to the floor as Finn rushed in, trying to process the scene with three people on the floor, bleeding. “Steffy!” Finn yelled. Sheila told him she was fine and to save Liam. Finn looked at Luna laying motionless on the floor, a bullet wound in her side. Steffy agreed with Sheila and begged Finn to save Liam as she called an ambulance. Liam weakly gasped, “Save…save…” as the screen turned to white.
