In the CEO’s office, Steffy, Ridge, Carter, Hope, and Zende were still discussing Carter’s pitch to grow the company. Steffy told Carter that Forrester was already a household name. Carter agreed that Forrester was famous in fashion, but he said that offering other products would help the company reach its full potential. Ridge noted that Forrester had been around for decades and wasn’t a start-up. Carter suggested they offer skin care and accessories as well. “The list goes on,” Carter said. “So do the expenses,” Ridge added.

Eric and Brooke entered the office. Ridge told them they were just in time to hear Carter tell them his version of the company’s future. Carter reiterated his pitch about bringing in other companies and expanding their line of products. Eric thought it was a huge leap. Carter argued that it was time to play the long game and become a leader in the global luxury market.

“We’re all family here,” Carter said. He explained to Eric that the company existed because of his vision and passion, but they couldn’t stay stagnant. He explained more about taking over high-end brands and putting the Forrester logo on them. Eric said becoming a global empire would require a great deal of debt and risk.

Carter pointed out that Forrester already had offices and boutiques worldwide. Ridge wanted to talk about finances and was surprised when Carter claimed he had been working on this plan for years and had a blueprint for investors.

Eric noted that Ivy told him about Carter’s idea to revamp the jewelry line. Steffy said she was concerned the timing was off as they were risking allocating funds to HFTF. Carter argued that Forrester was the only major fashion label without a stake in the fragrance and cosmetics industries. “I would love to call our friends in Wisconsin and make a deal, but before we do, we need to invest in ourselves,” Carter said.

Steffy asked Carter why he was prioritizing HFTF, as there was no guarantee it would ever bounce back. Carter wondered if Steffy’s issues with the line were based on sound business decisions. He told Steffy in front of a smug Brooke and the rest of the room that she needed to keep her personal feelings out of it and that her rivalries were diminishing the company.

Carter said that it was vital to him that he had their trust. He said he had so much confidence that he would invest his own money into the idea. Zende was blown away and told Carter he was impressed with his idea. Eric told Carter they would get back to him. “Let’s do this!” Carter concluded. He looked at Hope, and she was beaming.

After Hope and Carter left the room, Zende gave Carter’s ideas his stamp of approval. Steffy agreed he had some interesting points. Brooke and Zende appreciated that HFTF had Carter’s backing. Eric liked Carter’s enthusiasm but knew there was a lot to consider, as expanding would take a lot of capital. Brooke gushed that thinking about the company soaring to new heights was exhilarating. Steffy agreed that Carter’s pitch was impressive. “But he’s wrong about one thing: Hope for the Future,” Steffy said.

Once alone in the CEO's office, Ridge told Brooke he wanted some time to think about Carter’s ideas. Brooke wanted to talk about it and reiterated all of Carter’s talking points. She asked Ridge what he was thinking, but he said he didn’t know how he felt about it all yet. Brooke noted that Carter stood up for Hope, adding that no one else seemed to be. “Why do you say that? We’re always here for each other. We’re just trying to make the right choices,” Ridge said. Brooke pouted that Hope had a difficult time with her line and wished her daughter had someone to lean on.

At Spencer, Liam and Will had lunch and caught up. They agreed that the most beautiful women in the world are at Forrester. “None moreso than Hope,” Liam said, adding that he couldn’t get her out of his head. “Think less, do more,” Will advised. Liam wondered how Will was so wise about relationships. Will said he learned from watching their dad do it all wrong.

Liam claimed that he always knew he wanted to grow old with Hope. Will told him to respect her boundaries but don’t be complacent. “Do it right. It could be your last chance,” Will added. Liam mused that he and Hope had overcome so much already; it was hard to imagine they couldn’t find their way back to each other. Will said he was pulling for him. “I just hope some other guy doesn’t come along and beat you to it,” Will added.

In the designers’ office, Hope told Carter he did amazing in the meeting, and he credited it to her. Hope said he commanded the room with conviction. Carter admitted she was the first person he had told about his idea. Hope said that made her feel really special.

Carter said he never would have shared his idea if Hope hadn’t believed in him. “I believe in everything you want to do,” Hope assured him. “I feel like I could do anything when I stare into your eyes and you say those words to me,” Carter said. They continued to tell each other how much they believed in one another.

“It feels so good to share this with you,” Carter said. “You can share anything with me, Carter,” Hope said with a smile as she removed his shirt. Carter undid Hope’s sweater and laid her on the desk as they kissed. Things heated up quickly, so Hope stopped Carter and told him to lock the door.

Before Carter could get off of Hope, the door opened. “Carter! What are you doing?!” Brooke shrieked. Hope sat up, and her mom saw her partially undressed on the desk. “Oh my God, Hope!” Brooke barked.
