In the CEO’s office, Carter told Steffy, “I’m telling you, you can’t do this.” Steffy reminded him that Forrester is a private company, and she and Ridge call the shots. “And my father agrees with me. Hope for the Future is history,” Steffy added.

Steffy told Carter that he had been compromised. “Hope has gotten into your head somehow. I wish you could see it because it’s a Logan move,” Steffy said. Carter told her that it was ridiculous and her rivalry with the Logans had to stop. “If you continue down this road, Forrester will never recover. It will never be the same,” Carter warned Ridge and Steffy.

Carter knew the Forrester name was on the building but said Ridge and Steffy couldn’t dismiss the contributions that Hope and her family had made over the years. Steffy told him to focus on his job and stop trying to be Hope’s savior. Steffy left, so Carter turned his attention to Ridge. Ridge told Carter that Steffy was right and that they should all focus on their responsibilities. Carter wasn’t pleased when Ridge added that he didn’t want to talk about Hope.

“You forced Hope to face those employees like a walk of shame,” Carter told Ridge. Carter confirmed that Hope told him that and said that Ridge should be ashamed of himself. Ridge told Carter to take a breath. “I can’t talk? You’re going to silence me, too? Is this who you are now, Ridge? You get caught up in stupid kisses and petty gossip and misunderstandings?” Carter asked.

Carter wanted to know if that was what steered the ship and made multi-million dollar business decisions. “Have you even thought about my plans to grow Forrester into a global luxury brand?” Carter added. “Are you done?” Ridge asked. “Not by a long shot,” Carter seethed. Carter accused Ridge of dodging his questions and avoiding answering them, and he wanted to know why. “I mean, I think of you as my best friend, but I don’t know, maybe you don’t,” Carter said.

Ridge chuckled when Carter demanded that he go to Steffy and make her apologize to Hope. “Don’t let her childish jealousy destroy Hope for the Future,” Carter added. Ridge had enough. “You heard my daughter, you gotta be very careful,” Ridge started to say, but Carter interrupted. “Or what?” Carter challenged.

Ridge asked Carter to sit down and offered him some coffee. Ridge reminded Carter that he had asked him to draw up an LLC structure a few weeks ago to streamline how they were filing their taxes. He felt they had been overpaying in several continents. “We gotta fix that. No, you have to fix that. That’s your job. Not coming in here demanding that we run things differently," Ridge told Carter firmly.

Ridge pointed out that Carter had been busy trying to defend Hope and pull her out of the hole she dug for herself. "So I’m asking you. Do you still want to do this or what?” Ridge asked. “Do I still want to do this?” Carter asked gravely. “I’m defending Hope because I love this company. It’s out of that same love that I spent years developing a plan to secure your family’s future, and you don’t even care. Why? I’m your best friend, right? The man you pretend to admire so much. Why won’t you even listen? Why are you making me fight so hard? I have good ideas. They’re valuable. I’m valuable," Carter ranted. Ridge did not respond; he just walked out, leaving Carter to fume alone in the CEO's office.

At Brooke’s, Hope told Zende that she didn’t know what had gotten into Hope, but her power trip was out of control. Zende wondered if Carter could get through to Ridge. “I really hope so,” Hope replied.

Zende acknowledged that their last collection may have missed the mark, but that wasn’t a reason to give up on it. Zende asked if Steffy was actually going to pour millions of dollars down the drain because of a vendetta. “She’s trying to erase my legacy,” Hope decided. Still, she had hope that there was a chance to save it. “Because of Carter? Wow. He must really believe in you,” Zende said as Hope nodded.

Zende and Hope talked about Luna. Zende said he hadn’t heard from Luna and hoped he never would. He still couldn’t understand why she would say that took drugs to sleep with him.

Zende told Hope that it was an honor to work with her. Just then, Steffy walked in. “Zende, Pam told me you were here,” Steffy said. “What’s up?” Zende growled.

Steffy explained to Zende that she wanted to talk to him about Hope for the Future. “But I have a feeling you already know,” Steffy said. “Know what? That it’s over? Cousin, where does that leave me? I’m a Forrester, too, Steffy. Is this what family means to you?” Zende asked as Hope watched.

Steffy told Zende that she didn’t want to get into it at that moment, but basically, she didn’t have faith in Hope as a leader anymore. Zende said he didn’t buy it, and Hope interrupted to challenge Steffy. “We all know the real reason you fired me,” Hope said with her arms crossed. “It wasn’t business, it was personal. Why? Because of a kiss a while back?” Zende said as he rolled his eyes. “Oh, she hasn’t told you about the latest,” Steffy said. “I heard about the little mix-up with Finn,” Zende said dismissively.

Steffy explained that she was doing everything she could to protect the company. “But did you ever think that you might be punishing me in the process?” Zende snapped. Zende wondered if he would ever get anywhere in the company.

Zende left, and Hope asked Steffy if she ever considered Zende. Steffy posed the same question back at Hope and said she felt terrible about what had just happened but that Hope put everyone in their position. “Oh, for the love of God,” Hope said with an eye roll.

Katie brought Bill some of his mail and put it on the table. She asked how he liked living alone and noted that he had Luna and Poppy living with him not long ago. “And you thought you had a daughter,” Katie added. The camera zoomed in on an inmate letter from Luna.

Bill said it was all in the past, and he was focused on his real family, like Will. He asked for the three of them to spend some time together soon. Katie got a text and had to get back to the office. Once alone, Bill noticed the envelope from Luna.

At the prison, Luna was surprised to see her mom. Poppy said she didn’t think she could see Luna after all she had done. “You’re my daughter. I had to see you,” Poppy said.

Luna said she tried to reach Poppy, but her mom admitted she had been ready to see her and still wasn’t. “None of this will make sense to me,” Poppy said, upset. She asked how Luna was capable of such evil. “It’s like something took over inside of me. It’s not me. It’s not who I am,” Luna cried. She tried to explain but said it felt like someone flipped a switch inside her. Luna begged her mom for forgiveness.

Poppy said she still cared about Luna as she was her child and felt her pain. “It crushes me. But I am appalled by what you did,” Poppy added. Luna said she was ashamed of what she did. “You should be. You were going to pin it on me — a double murder!” Poppy said. Poppy reminded Luna of what she did to Bill, too. Luna asked if she had seen Bill. Poppy said that what Luna did and kissing him was too much for them to overcome. “So, you mean it’s over between you two?” Luna asked. Poppy said it was and then left. Luna stood there staring after her, but then she began to smile.

Bill read the letter from Luna. She claimed to be sorry for what she did but appealed to his empathy. Luna pointed out that Bill had also done things he regretted, and although they might not be father and daughter, they may be more alike than they thought. Luna wrote that the worst thing about being locked up was being alone and implored Bill that she needed him.

Bill reread Luna’s letter, saying he was the man missing from her childhood and how much she needed him. Then he recalled feeling like he had a family, but it was ruined when Luna kissed him. Bill lit the letter on fire and threw it in the fireplace to burn.

Next week on The Bold and the Beautiful:

Steffy tells Ridge that Hope and her line are history. “The end of an era,” Ridge agrees.

Carter holds out paperwork and tells Hope, “This is the answer we’re looking for. Ridge and Steffy put it right in our hands.”

Electra tells Ivy that she can’t stop thinking about Will. “He feels the same way?” Ivy asked. “Seems to be going well so far,” Electra says as we see Electra and Will sharing their first kiss. “Of course, anything would be better than what I left behind,” Electra adds. The screen turns dark, and we see a man with a sinister grin and photos of Electra on the wall behind him.
