At Forrester, Brooke was shocked when Carter told her that Brooke’s Bedroom had sold out again. She asked if Carter had bought any items for someone in his life. Carter said he dated people but would only buy Brooke’s Bedroom lingerie for someone special.
Brooke wondered where things stood between Carter and Katie. Carter said they had a spark but had only been friends for a long time. Brooke said Katie had told her that, too, but Brooke was just testing to see if Carter and Katie were on the same page. Carter guessed Brooke was wondering if Bill and Katie would get back together, since Will was home. Carter and Brooke said that whatever happened, they wished Katie the best.
Carter told Brooke that he had talked to Hope about her line and had gotten an idea. He told Brooke he had suggested aligning Brooke’s Bedroom with Hope for the Future. Brooke thought it was a great idea and thanked him for thinking of Hope. Brooke said that Hope didn’t get much support from people at Forrester. Carter said he was happy to give Hope all the support he could, and he noted that he thought Brooke’s daughter was truly special.
Steffy told Hope she was spending as much time as possible with her mom while Taylor was in town. Hope agreed that she, too, enjoyed having her mom around, so she understood how Steffy felt. Steffy said that the difference was that Taylor was a better influence than Brooke. “My mom is a psychiatrist. Yours is a lingerie model,” Steffy added. Hope said she had just been trying to bond with Steffy over something they had in common. Steffy said she and Hope had nothing in common.

Steffy said she didn’t want it to turn into another Team Brooke vs. Team Taylor situation. Hope agreed and told Steffy that she should not have pursued Finn as she had. Hope noted that she had apologized and said it would not happen again. Hope said she was embarrassed by her behavior and didn’t want to disrupt Steffy’s family.
Steffy told Hope that she wanted to believe Hope but didn’t. Hope said with Taylor in town, they had an opportunity to put the Logan-Forrester rivalry behind them once and for all. Hope said they were family and should start acting like it. Hope suggested they set a good example for Beth and Kelly. “We are three generations of Logan and Forrester women. It’s about time we leave a better legacy,” Hope said.
Steffy gave Hope credit for wanting to be a better person than Brooke. Hope said she wanted to get back to being the person she had been. Steffy asked if there was a man in Hope’s life, but Hope said there was not. Steffy noted that it wouldn’t be long; after all, Hope was a Logan.
Carter felt the tension between Hope and Steffy and wondered what he had walked in on. Steffy said they weren’t arguing, and she left for a meeting. Hope wanted to know if Carter wanted to talk about her line or her in lingerie. Either way, she was open to hearing more. Carter suggested that they discuss it over lunch. He told her to check her schedule, and he would treat her to a meal at her father’s restaurant.
Bill told Katie that he didn’t want to wait. “Let’s spend the rest of our lives together,” Bill said. Katie asked about Poppy. Bill said it was over, and she had moved out. Bill said the woman he wanted to spend the rest of his life with was standing in front of him.
Katie said it meant a lot to her that he wanted to give their relationship another try. Bill said they were different people who had learned and grown. He said he knew how to be the husband that she needed. Katie said that she had given it a lot of thought and that it wouldn’t happen.
Bill was stunned when Katie explained. “You left me for my sister more than once. I’m sorry Brooke isn’t available, and Poppy wasn’t the dream girl that you built her up to be from that one night 20 years ago, but I can’t be a stand-in for either one of them. I’ve been stung too many times. I can’t go back to you," Katie said.
Bill said he understood why Katie would feel that way, but with Will in town, it was a chance for their family to be together. Katie said that if Will was younger or begging for his parents to reunite, she might be swayed. She told Bill she was sorry she had to say that to him because she loved him. Bill said he loved her, too, and she was the love of his life. “When Brooke is not available,” Katie corrected him. Bill said that had not been true in years. Katie pointed out that Brooke hadn’t been available for years, so he hadn’t had the chance to test that out. Katie said she liked their relationship the way it was, and she walked out.
Bill stood at the fireplace and stared at pictures of Katie and Will. There was a knock at the door, and he was shocked to find Brooke there. She asked if he’d forgotten they had a meeting about Brooke’s Bedroom. Bill said he had and wanted to reschedule. Brooke put her hand on his arm and asked if he was okay. Bill told her that Katie had rejected him. “She said she’s only the love of my life when you’re not around,” Bill shared.
Dr. Buckingham went to her office and told Taylor and Ridge that she was ready to do the blood test. Ridge reminded Taylor that he would be there for her every step of the way. Taylor paused in the doorway to smile at Ridge before leaving with Grace.
When Taylor returned, Ridge held her hand. Taylor said she hadn't thought she wanted anyone there but was glad Ridge was. Taylor lamented that she had wasted so much time in her life. She said she hadn't realized how short-lived the best part of her life would be. She didn’t blame Ridge or Brooke but said that the early years with him and the kids had been the best time of her life. Taylor said no matter what happened, she wanted Ridge to be happy.
Dr. Buckingham returned with the test results. She said that she did not believe Taylor had heart failure. Dr. Buckingham said that there was something else that had symptoms similar to what Taylor had that could mimic a heart attack. Taylor and Ridge were shocked when Grace told them that she believed Taylor had broken heart syndrome.
