At the cliff house, Brooke arrived at Taylor’s behest. Taylor had asked Brooke there to tell her that Taylor hadn’t returned home to make a play for Ridge. Taylor was there for her kids and grandkids. Brooke asked if that meant she and Taylor could be friends. Taylor said they’d tried that before. Brooke replied that time had passed, and they could try again.
Taylor was open to it—if Brooke could give Hope some good advice. Taylor claimed that they’d battled, Brooke had won, and it wasn’t about them anymore. Taylor claimed she didn’t want to interfere with Brooke and Ridge, but Taylor had a problem with Brooke’s advice to Hope and how it affected Steffy’s family.
Brooke informed Taylor that she had talked to Hope about being out of line. Taylor asserted that Brooke was making light of it, but Brooke said Taylor should believe Hope when she said she hadn’t meant to come on to Finn. Taylor wanted to and claimed that she wasn’t condemning Hope or the Logans because there was too much of that in the world.
Brooke said that was why she wanted to be friends. Taylor said they all needed to come together, but Hope had to understand that she couldn’t go after Steffy’s husband. Brooke said she’d impressed upon Hope that she couldn’t go after the married Finn, who had children. He was off-limits. Taylor looked away, and Brooke guessed she should have taken her own advice.

Taylor asked if they could agree not to let their competitive natures pass to the next generation. Brooke believed it already had. Taylor asked Brooke to continue to advise Hope, who’d been lost and confused for a while. Going after Steffy’s brother and then Steffy's husband could be characterized as an obsession, in Taylor’s view.
Brooke said it was more like a crush, but Taylor insisted Brooke shouldn’t just sweep it under the rug. Taylor continued to urge Brooke to get through to Hope and wondered if Hope was seeking payback. Brooke insisted that Hope wouldn’t do that and was remorseful. Brooke asked Taylor to get Steffy to stop her power trip because lines went up and down all the time.
Taylor said Steffy had given the line another chance. Brooke snickered. Taylor figured that they wanted the best for their children. Brooke said she’d make sure Hope didn’t follow her heart to Finn. Taylor decided that she and Brooke should work on being friends, and Brooke agreed.
Taylor stated that they were blessed to have their families and needed peace between their daughters. Brooke agreed and was sorry it had taken so long. In Eric’s office, Ridge and Steffy worked together, and he wondered if her new stance on HFTF meant she was going soft on him. Steffy claimed her mom’s peaceful perspective was wearing off on her. Ridge said it was the same for him, and Steffy was glad to hear it. She said their family wasn’t the same when Taylor wasn’t around. "And neither are you," Steffy added.
Steffy was worried about Taylor leaving again, but Ridge said Taylor had been talking about restarting her practice. Steffy asked if Ridge could convince Taylor to remain in town. Steffy said Taylor was her best friend, and the family needed her. Ridge asked if Steffy had told Taylor that.
Steffy said she had, but she didn’t want Taylor to make a professional sacrifice. Steffy admitted that she was grown but still needed her mom. Steffy implored Ridge to convince Taylor to stay. She felt that her mother was selfless and could bring peace to their families. Ridge hoped Taylor could end the family feud once and for all. Steffy hoped her mom would stay. She didn’t want to let Taylor go.
In Finn’s office, Finn met with the Forresters' pilot, who wondered if Steffy had ever found her passport. Finn affirmed that she had. Deuce, the pilot, was there for his lab results. Finn was still waiting for all the results but said Deuce was doing fine.
Finn left to take care of something, and Deuce remained behind. April arrived with some lab results, and Deuce wondered if he could see them. April looked skeptical. He asked her to give it to him straight. He figured it was cholesterol and ranted about the bad things he ate. He joked that sausage had killed him. April refused to give him the results.
Finn and Li arrived. April had some test results that Li had been waiting for. As Li read her results, Deuce continued to freak out about his until Finn finally told him that he was fine. Deuce hugged Finn and left to eat some cheesecake.
Later, Finn talked about Deuce, saying it was amazing how much fear could be created when nothing had really happened. It was a good reminder to Finn that most fears were self-made. Li got a message that Taylor wanted to see her. Assuming it was about Taylor’s practice reopening, Li decided to head over to see her.
Back at the cliff house, Li arrived, assuming Taylor wanted to talk to her about reopening her practice. Taylor said that wasn’t it. Taylor revealed that she’d seen a doctor in Europe who’d diagnosed her with heart failure. Taylor said she was dying.
