The Bold and the Beautiful What-to-Watch Moments, May 21: Does Liam get good news or bad?

Here are your The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers what-to-watch moments for Wednesday, May 21, 2025.

What to expect on The Bold and the Beautiful

Liam (Scott Clifton) was devastated to learn that his latest scans didn't show any improvement, but now it is time for another appointment with Dr. Grace Buckingham (Cassandra Creech), who provides even more unbelievable news.

Liam facetiously asks if Grace has found a way to save him, but Grace is somber when she tells Liam that something could have a serious impact on his quality of life.

Liam, Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood), and Finn (Tanner Novlan) listen to what Grace has to say in shock. Liam thought he had time to spend with his daughters before he'd have to say goodbye, but now he thinks his condition might deteriorate rapidly. That means Liam might have to finally tell Bill (Don Diamont) and his brothers about his condition.

Liam is going to have some big decisions to make after this latest appointment with Grace, but at least he has succeeded in one goal. Steffy and Hope (Annika Noelle) are finally getting along again.

A new start for Carter and Hope?

A couple is set to reunite on Wednesday, and it looks like Carter (Lawrence Saint-Victor) and Hope just might be that pair since it's too soon for Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang) and Ridge (Thorsten Kaye) to reunite, which we know is still coming. Hope is ready to give Carter some big news, but she will also get news from Carter.

He heard part of her conversation with Liam and jumped to the conclusion that Hope didn't want him anymore, but instead, she wanted Liam back. Will Hope decide to spill Liam's secret, explaining that the conversation was really about Liam's inoperable brain tumor and the fact that Liam is dying? That would help explain a lot to Carter, who will surely be relieved that he didn't sleep with Daphne. Or did he?

Daphne (Murielle Hilaire) was unexpectedly kind and understanding, but she didn't make any big advances except to kiss Carter on the cheek and be there to listen. Did anything else happen that we might learn about down the line?
