The Bold and the Beautiful welcomes back Taylor

The Bold and the Beautiful's Ridge and Brooke were shocked to see Taylor waltz into Eric's Forrester Creations office, but Taylor was even more shocked by what she heard.

Taylor walked right in on Brooke telling Ridge that a tipsy Hope had grabbed Finn and kissed him during Danny Romalotti's impromptu concert in the Forrester living room. Needless to say, Taylor was shocked and horrified at the idea of Hope destroying another one of Steffy's marriages.

Taylor was already disturbed after learning that Hope was dating Thomas last fall because she didn't trust Hope to not hurt her son. Now, she has to worry about Hope hurting her daughter again.

According to Rebecca Budig, who began playing Taylor on August 6, taking over for Krista Allen, Steffy and her well-being are precisely the reasons Taylor chose to fly home to Los Angeles.

"She really feels like she’s not spent enough time with Steffy and with her grandkids," Budig told Soap Opera Digest. “She really wants to spend time with them. I think she’s getting older and realizes that she wants to be around the people that she loves and to spend more quality time with them."

Another battle for Ridge's heart?

Budig assured fans that Taylor has no intentions of going after Ridge again, despite being seen lurking in the shadows, watching Brooke and Ridge while in Monte Carlo. When Budig first saw the script, she asked B&B head writer Bradley Bell if Taylor was stalking them but was told that she wasn't.

"She knew [Ridge and Brooke were there] because obviously, the Brooke’s Bedroom line was dropping and that was a big deal in town," Budig said. "But yeah, she had an appointment there and she just happened to see them."

Just because Taylor is mainly back for Steffy, it doesn't mean she won't find herself butting heads with Brooke, a woman who was her temporary BFF just last year after decades of being enemies. Knowing of Hope's actions doesn't make it easy to remain civil, at least according to Taylor. When she heard Brooke tell Ridge about the kiss, her maternal instincts kicked in.

"Taylor just goes into total Mommy mode and just doesn’t even see straight,” Budig explained. “She is trying to wrap her head around the fact that this is happening. Taylor is a very protective mom and she is passionate about her kids. She lost a kid [Steffy’s twin, Phoebe], and that just makes you that much more protective of your other ones."

Will Taylor's other child, Thomas, return to L.A., as well, to distract Hope from Finn, hence riling up Taylor some more? Stay tuned to find out.
