Ridge talked to Li about Taylor’s condition. Li said that Taylor had emailed Dr. Buckingham’s diagnosis, and Li agreed with it. Li told Ridge that it was a serious condition that needed to be addressed.
Ridge said Taylor needed a professional to help her. He lamented that Taylor was adamant that he couldn’t tell anyone, including their kids or Brooke. Li said she knew it was difficult, but honoring Taylor’s wishes was the best thing for her. Ridge said it felt wrong, but Li told him it was commendable. Ridge said he didn’t like keeping things from Brooke. Li assured him he was doing the right thing. "About what?" Brooke asked as she walked into the office.
Brooke wanted to know what Ridge was doing the right thing about. As Li left, Ridge said they had just been talking about family. Brooke asked if “family” was a code word for “Taylor.” Ridge wondered if Brooke thought he was spending too much time with Taylor. Brooke said she understood; it was just an adjustment. Brooke said she wasn’t jealous but just wary like she was every time Taylor came to town. “She just loves you so much,” Brooke said.
Brooke told Ridge that Will was Forrester’s newest intern. Ridge said it had to have been a bitter pill for Bill to swallow, but Brooke said she didn’t think Bill knew yet. Ridge wanted to be the one to tell Bill that his son was working at Forrester. Brooke asked him not to and said Bill’s mind was on Katie getting cold feet. Ridge applauded Katie’s choice. Brooke asked Ridge if he knew where Hope was. Brooke wanted to talk to Hope about something.

Carter met with Hope, and she worried he had bad news about Hope for the Future. Carter said he had changed his projections, and if correct, she should start to see a climb in her line’s numbers soon. He admitted he was an optimist but said he had hope for HFTF, professionally and personally.
Carter told Hope he knew that she had kissed Finn and that things were tense with Steffy. Hope was embarrassed, but Carter said he couldn’t judge her. They recalled his relationship with Quinn, and Hope said that she and Carter had more in common than she'd thought.
Hope said she wouldn’t have to model lingerie if the projections were right. Carter said he still thought it was a good idea. Hope asked Carter what the deal was between him and her Aunt Katie. Carter said he had the utmost respect for Katie, but they were better off as friends without benefits.
Hope liked that Carter was “free and single.” She told him she was sure the right woman was out there for him somewhere. Carter said that Hope was a strong and independent woman who didn’t need a man to make her happy. Hope noted that it was unexpectedly easy to laugh with Carter, and she felt as though she could be herself around him.
Hope thanked Carter for caring about her line. He said he cared about Hope, as well. Carter and Hope told each other how great they were and how they deserved the best in life. Hope lamented that her relationships with Thomas and Liam hadn't worked out, and she noted how much she missed Douglas.
Carter told Hope he could top that. He said that he had dumped Paris at the altar for a woman who had ended up leaving him. Hope wondered if there was a man out there that she wouldn’t have to share. Carter said maybe that guy had been standing in front of her all along. Carter touched Hope’s cheek, and then they kissed.
Zende talked to Will about being an intern. Will asked if Zende had ever been distracted by the models. Zende said that when he was an intern, he was more distracted by his desire to design. Will said he wanted to be a good intern and didn’t want to disappoint his mom. Zende offered to give Will advice about interning over pizza at Il Giardino. Liam came into the office to drop off toys for Beth and Kelly. He paused when he saw Will and asked what Will was doing at Forrester.
Will asked Liam if that was any way to greet his little brother. Lainey, a Forrester employee, stopped by and congratulated Will on his internship. “I’ve heard a lot about you since the last time we met,” Lainey said. “I’m Will,” he said with a grin. “I know,” Lainey said with a flirty smile. “That’s funny because I thought I heard her say you’re an intern at Forrester. I don’t suppose Dad knows about this,” Liam said.
Liam wondered why Will wouldn’t run the idea of interning by Bill before doing it. Zende got called away by someone in the cutting room. Zende said he had to give Will a rain check on the pizza and chat. Liam told Will he could take Zende's place. “Let me treat you to lunch since soon your accounts will be frozen, and you’ll be kicked out of the will,” Liam said.
Will and Liam went to Il Giardino, and Liam told Will that if he wanted to go out on the town, Liam was his man. He offered to be Will’s wingman. The brothers were bantering when Lainey came in with Toni from the Forrester accounting department. Liam asked Toni and Lainey if they could join him and Will for lunch. “See? Wingman!” Liam said to Will.
Will, Liam, Lainey, and Tony sat down, and Will answered Lainey and Toni’s questions. Will told them that Liam was a Spencer executive, and Will tried to play Liam up. However, Liam pulled out his phone and wanted to show them pictures of his kids. Liam noted that his daughters looked like their mothers. Liam clarified that Hope and Steffy were his ex-wives. Lainey asked if he had been married twice, and Liam said, “I wish it were only twice, but who’s counting.” Lainey and Toni exchanged glances as Will just shook his head.
