The blame game

The blame game

Brooke, Bill, Katie, Liam, Hope, Wyatt, and the entire Forrester family are holding Quinn Fuller responsible for the disappearance of Ridge. How can Quinn maneuver her way out of this mess? Get your dishes ready -- it's time for another hearty helping of The Bold and the Beautiful Two Scoops.

Hey, Scoopers! I hope everyone had a bold and beautiful week. I just wanted to give a quick shout-out to my partner in soap crime, Mike, for covering the exciting events last week as I closed out the 2013-2014 academic school year. Let's get down to business. I'm a little confused, and I'm hoping that you Scoopers can help me out. How is it Quinn's fault that Ridge is missing?

I don't recall Quinn holding Ridge at gunpoint, telling him to go and play hero. Yes, I understand that her motives were selfish. I understand that she set the tragic events in motion. However, I don't recall her telling Ridge to leave his fiance and fly halfway across the world to show Brooke a selfie. Ridge could have sent Brooke an email or text with the selfie as an attachment.

Let me clarify -- Quinn is guilty. She knew exactly what she was doing. However, Ridge is a man of sound mind. He did what he wanted to do. If anyone should be held accountable, it should be Ridge, Justin, and Bill.

Bill has really outdone himself this time. Not only has he attempted to off a pregnant woman, locked a young woman in a gondola, locked his wife in a tower, tampered with medical records to suit his own purposes, bugged private therapy sessions, blackmailed a warden to have a felon released from jail to play the game of "Stop the Lope Wedding," but we can now add hit man to the list of dirty deeds.

Bill ordered his henchman, Justin, to make Ridge "cool off" by taking a dip into the Persian Gulf. He just didn't expect Ridge not to resurface. That's why Ridge is missing. Not because of Quinn. It's because of Bill, Justin, and Ridge himself, a.k.a. The Three Stooges.

I was baffled when Bill had the audacity to shift the blame on Quinn. Well, then again, I should not have been surprised. Nothing is ever Bill's fault. I mean, really? "Cool him off"? Doesn't Bill know martial arts? Why didn't he just beat the crap out of Ridge when Ridge showed up in the first place?

Did anyone else notice when Brooke called Quinn to blame her for Ridge's accident she kept saying if "I" lose Ridge? I'm reading between the lines. This accident is going to be the reunion of Bridge. I'll give it a month or two max before these two wind up together again. Where will this inevitable reunion leave Bill and Katie?

Ridge's accident caused quite a few people -- I should say one person in particular -- to do some soul-searching. Yes, Scoopers. I'm taking about the fair-haired beauty, Hope Logan. This week, Hope acknowledged that she and Ridge haven't been on the best of terms. She also acknowledged that Ridge was the man who stepped into the role of father when her own father, Deacon Sharpe, wanted nothing to do with her. I liked that moment. It was nice of her to remember that she and Ridge were once close. Hopefully, when Ridge comes home, they'll be able to repair their strained relationship.

I know whose relationship is beyond repair: Hope and Wyatt's. Apparently, Ridge's accident has opened her eyes to the Fuller family. Hope did some self-reflecting and realized that she let Quinn and Wyatt into the family. She opened up Pandora's box.

I feel bad for Wyatt, and then again, I don't. I feel bad for him because he's inadvertently getting the blame for his mother's erratic behavior. Quinn's S&M selfie had nothing to do with his relationship with Hope. I don't think he should be held accountable for Quinn's actions in regard to the Ridge situation.

My heart broke a little for him because I can see that he truly loves Hope. I mean, he proposed. He said all the right things, but Hope couldn't get over Quinn's trickery. With Wyatt, Hope has never had to look over her shoulder for a "Steffy" type situation. Wyatt was a one-woman kind of man. He brought out a sexy, flirty side of Hope that was kind of refreshing.

But according to Hope, that's not who she really is. Liam brings out the real her. With Liam, she knows exactly what she's going to get. Yes, Scoopers, those words actually came out of Hope's mouth. I'll get you a moment to process that.

Liam, a true expert at juggling two women, provides stability for Hope. He understands her love for family and her values. The same Liam who didn't want to wait until their wedding night to have sex so he decided to flirt with Hope's stepsister, Steffy. Yes, I got a good laugh too.

I don't feel bad for Wyatt because he came on the scene very well knowing that Hope and Liam were in a relationship. When Hope helped him find out the truth about his paternity, Liam and Bill welcomed Wyatt into the fold, as they should. Wyatt went into Bill's Malibu beach house, which Liam is now occupying, and kissed Hope on multiple occasions, completely disrespecting his brother -- when, for once, Liam hadn't done anything wrong. Should Hope have put her foot down instead of allowing the kisses? Yes. But as a man, a brother, it's not cool to hit on your brother's girl.

Quinn and Wyatt's relationship reminds me of Queen Stephanie's relationship with Ridge. That woman was always meddling in her son's love life. Quinn is doing the same thing. From bringing Steffy back to Los Angeles to interrupt Hope and Liam's wedding to this latest stunt with stealing the Big Bear cabin keys. Her love for her son knows no boundaries. That is going to be a problem for this mother/son duo.

Wyatt feels that everything that has gone wrong in his life is due to his mother's meddling. I think he's right. Quinn doesn't realize that her actions have consequences. In this case, Wyatt has lost his girlfriend (which he knew could happen regardless, due to Hope's indecisiveness) and his job. I wonder if Bill will try to blame Wyatt for his mother's trickery, as well, instead of looking in the mirror? Can Wyatt and Quinn's relationship be salvaged?

Here's my issue with the whole S&M situation. Brooke and Bill weren't in a relationship. They were just talking about getting back together. Brooke claimed that she needed time. Bill was growing impatient and decided to play with Quinn. I don't see that as being unfaithful. I see that as two adults having a good time, no strings attached.

Why did Ridge think that Brooke would drop Bill? They weren't committed. Come to think of it, I think Brooke only mentioned the pic to Bill once. I think she still would've married and stayed with Bill regardless of when she saw the pic.

I'm still very surprised at the fact Brooke is even involved with Bill after the way he treated her daughter. Bill went to great lengths to ruin Hope's life. Yes, he's apologized for all of the meddling he did in the past. I don' t know about some of you Scoopers, but I can't really be with a person who brings any kind of harm, whether it's physical or emotional, to my child.

I like that Katie and Eric had time to bond on the way to Dubai. He sees how much Katie loves Ridge, but Eric and everyone else know that Brooke is and probably will be the only true love of Ridge's life. They always find a way back to each other. It's only a matter of time.

Why hasn't Brooke demanded to speak to the pilot? She mentioned it once, and that was it. Come on, Brooke. Make Bill use his resources to find the pilot. It's the pilot's fault Ridge fell out of the plane, right? I mean, the first thing that I do when I get into a car or a plane is to put on my seat belt. I guess Ridge is too cool to do that. I digress.

Back in L.A., Quinn is on the Forrester Family radar. She refuses to take blame for Ridge's actions. She's got a point. Honestly, I can't blame her. Yes, she did send Ridge the picture so he could run interference, but she did not tell him to fly halfway across the world, charter a helicopter, and not put on a seat belt.

Rick and the rest of the family were anxious to kick Quinn out of the building. Quinn reminded Rick that she couldn't be fired for someone else's wrongdoing. Rick made sure Carter drew up termination papers with no loopholes to make sure Quinn couldn't sue. Pam and Aly couldn't be more pleased. Aly even went ahead and demanded that Quinn give her security pass. Quinn declined and reminded Aly that she's not CEO. Aly snapped backed that Quinn and her loser son were finally out of their lives.

Knowing that her relationship is on quicksand with her son, she tried one more time to talk Hope into being with Wyatt. Again, Hope told Quinn to back off. She needs to stay out of her business and stop campaigning for Wyatt. She and Wyatt are over. He'll be apart of her life as Liam's brother, but that's it. Why would Quinn even want her son with Hope anyway? If Hope loved and cared for him as much as she said she did, she wouldn't have run to be with Liam.

I mean, really? A punch? Hope couldn't handle the fact that Wyatt was defending his mother to Liam? He told him to stop talking all of his mess, so Wyatt had to shut him up. I swear, this girl really gets on my nerves. Sometimes, brothers need to duke it out. Let them fight. Stop whining. Good grief.

Liam is on cloud nine that Hope decided to be with him. He even wants to wait until they're married before she moves in. Geez, Liam, can you just be together without talking about marriage?

Liam is trying very hard to be supportive of Hope and the rest of the family during the Ridge crisis. So much so, he offered to go into work with Hope. I'm sorry, but doesn't Liam have a job running Spencer Publications? As a matter of fact, who is running Spencer? It's not Katie, Bill is too busy ordering people to fall to their deaths, and Justin is too busy taking cues from Bill. Who's running the company? Will?

So, my LOL moment of the week was when Quinn went to the Bikini Bar to drown her sorrows in whisky. This woman is going on and on to a stranger about how her life sucks. She got fired from her job, and her son hates her for ruining his relationship with his girlfriend. The stranger tells her that there are plenty of fish in the sea, and her boy will be all right.

Quinn says this fish was special. She brought out a different side to her son and that Quinn actually grew to love her. She's amazing, and he'd be surprised by her name, Hope Logan. Quinn was like, you know her? And her stranger said, " Know her? Honey, I'm her daddy!" Quinn's eyes lit up like a child on Christmas morning.

Yes, Scoopers, Sean Kanan has reprised the popular role of bad boy Deacon Sharpe! The last time we saw Deacon was when Bill broke him out of prison to foil Hope and Liam's Italian wedding. I wonder why Deacon is in town? Did he come back to have a relationship with his daughter? Did he come back to try to rekindle a romance with Brooke?

Why was Deacon drinking? Deacon is a recovering alcoholic. He shouldn't be hitting up Bikini Bar, he should be sitting front row center at an A.A. meeting. This pairing of Deacon and Quinn (DeQuinn) just might be too much to handle for the residents of Los Angeles.

Tell me, Scoopers, why is Maya so thirsty? This character serves absolutely no purpose for this show whatsoever. She annoys me more and more every time I see her. Why does she feel the need to protect Aly from Oliver? Since when did she and Aly become besties? Doesn't she have a man? Doesn't she have a wedding to plan?

It's clear to me that Maya is jealous that Oliver is not chasing her big brown eyes anymore and he's moved on to someone else. That's it. Point-blank. Oliver has made it clear that, yes, he might have started to hang out with Aly to try to secure himself in the company, but he has said more than once that his feelings for Aly are genuine.

Maya just seems to be grasping at straws since Rick married Caroline. I don't think she got over the fact that after she and Rick broke up, he immediately married Caroline. I think that she wants to be Caroline. She wanted to be Mrs. Eric Forrester Jr. Caroline is a smart cookie; she better check that girl and put her in her place.

Carter needs to do the same. Who knew that Carter and Ridge were boys? Carter seems to be an intelligent guy. Why can't he see that Maya isn't feeling him anymore? How long does it take to pick a wedding date? Hasn't he wondered why his fiance is so concerned about Aly and Oliver?

Why hasn't he snatched her phone and deleted the recording? She claims to be looking out for Aly because she is young and impressionable like Maya was. Maya needs to fall back and stay in her lane. Aly doesn't want or need her help. Ghost Darla has got that covered.

Since we all know that the recording is going to be leaked, how do you think Aly will react? Is Maya right? Is Oliver just using her? Or am I right, and Maya is just jealous about what could have been?

Should Quinn be blamed for Ridge's disappearance? Will Ridge be found? If he's found, will that mean the end for Brooke and Bill, and Ridge and Katie? Are you happy that Hope finally made a decision? • We know what Quinn is guilty of. But what about Stephanie Forrester, another crazy mother obsessed with her son's love life. List of deeds: faked heart attack to get son away from Brooke, strangled Brooke (more than once) and poked with a fire pick, told Taylor to withhold the truth about killing Darla (Aly just glosses over this), pushed Jackie over a railing, gave a strange man a key to Brooke's home. He raped Brooke (that is directly responsible instead of indirect stuff Quinn is being accused of). She tried to take custody of Brooke's kids. There's so much more, but that's all I can remember. -- MzCocoa.

• Liam claims he would wait forever for Hope. Was that including being married twice to Steffy? Flying to Paris for closure of your ending marriage and begging Steffy to return and be with you cause it's your choice too? Oh what about the time you placed a still warm engagement ring of Hope's on Steffy's finger. Or when you couldn't wait for marriage with Hope because sex was a dying need for you so you strayed to Steffy instead of talking to Hope first. Oh and also when you rolled around on a hotel bed with Steffy after thinking Hope left you at the altar and instead of again finding her you thought it was better to make out with Steffy. Is that what he meant by waiting for her forever?! I just wanna capture Liam's definition of waiting and forever... cause it doesn't mean the same thing to me!! -- Littleman16

• Are we all to be forever defined by our past? Yes Liam made mistakes with Steffy hurting his relationship with Hope in the PAST. But since Steffy interrupted their last wedding and offered herself to Liam, he turned her down and has waited patiently for Hope, proving she is all he wants. He could have gone with Steffy that day, or any day since when it looked as if he lost Hope to Wyatt, but he did not. He stayed and waited for her, because he realized she was all he wanted, just like she has now realized the same about him. This is a soap and we know Wyatt and his crazy mother do not give up and will interfere in Lope, so I hope they are both smart enough now to see it coming and smack the bullies down before they do any permanent damage. -- Commaboy

Thanks for flooding the message boards with your comments scoopers! It's really cool to see everyone's opinion on the various storylines. Keep them coming. I love reading them.

I'm in total agreement with all of the comments stated above. Yes, what happened with Hope and Liam was in the past, it's just hard to forget especially when these characters act like they're holier-than-thou and they've never done anything wrong.

I think that I need to send Maya an email. She's really getting on my nerves. I'm considering buying her a coach ticket back to Springfield.

    To: [email protected]: Wedding Date.

    Maya,

I was just wondering when you and Carter plan on tying the knot, seeing how you've been engaged for almost over a year. I know that Ridge and Eric offered to have the ceremony at the Forrester estate. You and Carter are well off on your jobs, so money can't be an issue. What's the problem?

Could it be that you're lusting after people and sticking your pretty little nose into other people's business? Didn't Carter tell you to leave Oliver and Aly alone? Stop being so thirsty. Stop sipping on the Hate-or-ade. Face it. Oliver and Rick have moved on, why can't you?

You have a wonderful, smart, handsome man who is willing to make you his wife. Take my advice. Open your big brown eyes. See the man that you have in front of you. Stop trying to keep up with Forresters. It's not a good look.

    -- Tracy

Hopefully, She'll take my advice and worry about herself.
