Baby #2 comes early for The Bold and the Beautiful's Tanner Novlan, Kayla Ewell

He came seven weeks early, but the teeny, tiny new son of The Bold and the Beautiful's Tanner Novlan (Dr. John "Finn" Finnegan) and Kayla Ewell (ex-Caitlin Ramírez) is "happy and healthy!"

Congratulations are in order for The Bold and the Beautiful's Tanner Novlan (Dr. John "Finn" Finnegan) and his wife, actress Kayla Ewell (ex-Caitlin Ramrez), who welcomed their second child on June 6 -- seven weeks before his expected due date!

"Our lil man couldn't wait to join us! He came 6/6/22, 7 weeks early, 3lbs 9oz.," Novlan shared on Instagram about the baby, whose name is Jones Douglas Novlan. "He's happy and healthy. Mom is doing great too. Thank you to Dr. Waldman, Dr. Valenton and the entire nicu nursing staff at Cedars Sinai for being so amazing."

Novlan and Ewell found out that they would be adding a second child to their family around the Thanksgiving holiday. In a later interview with People, Ewell shared that she was thrilled to learn that the couple's first child, nearly-three-year-old daughter Poppy, would be getting a baby brother.

"I really wanted to be a boy mom," the Vampire Diaries star enthused during her pregnancy. "It'll be fun."

In a very sweet B&B-related twist of fate, baby Jones's early arrival means that he's only a couple of weeks older than Jacqueline MacInnes Wood's (Steffy Forrester) third baby, Brando, who was born in late May.

Novlan joined B&B in 2020 but was tragically killed off earlier this year when Sheila (Kimberlin Brown) shot Finn. It has recently been revealed, however, that Finn didn't actually die, and his adoptive mother, Li (Naomi Matsuda), has been secretly keeping him alive on monitor machines.

Prior to joining B&B, Novlan's credits included Mohawk Girls, Cold, Rizzoli & Isles, Parenthood, Bones, and Roswell, New Mexico.

Ewell starred as B&B's Caitlin from 2004 to 2005 before going on to appear in series such as The O.C., Entourage, House, Freaks and Geeks, The Vampire Diaries, and, like her husband, Roswell, New Mexico.
