ATWT alum Cassandra Creech to play newly created role on The Bold and the Beautiful

The Bold and the Beautiful has tapped As the World Turns' Cassandra Creech for a new role -- one with ties to at least one character on the canvas.

Cassandra Creech, who is perhaps best known for her work as Denise Maynard on As the World Turns, will join the cast of The Bold and the Beautiful next week as Dr. Grace Buckingham, the mother of Paris and Zoe.

"I think it was an aligning of the stars because everything just fell into place," Creech told Soap Opera Digest. "I was called in through normal casting, and I had a good chemistry read with Diamond [White, Paris] and the rest is history. Here I am, and I've got to say, it is extraordinary being here."

Creech is a graduate of North Carolina School of the Arts and spent a year abroad, on a scholarship, to attend the British Academy of Dramatic Arts. After graduation, Cassandra moved to New York City and landed a recurring role as Dana Kramer on Another World. From 1998 to 2001, she appeared on As the World Turns. She has also appeared in New York Undercover and USA's Sins of the City.

Creech makes her B&B debut on January 10.
