Oscar nominee directs The Bold and the Beautiful

Academy Award-nominated director Evgeny Afineevsky helmed today's episode of The Bold and the Beautiful, which continues the fallout from Vinny's (Joe LoCicero) hit-and-run death.

The Bold and the Beautiful called on some serious talent to bring its Tuesday, May 4, episode to life. Today's half hour of B&B drama was directed by Academy Award nominee Evgeny Afineevsky.

The Israeli-American director's claim to fame includes his documentary, Winter on Fire: Ukraine's Fight for Freedom, which earned an Academy Award nomination in the Best Documentary Feature category in 2016, as well as his 2017 documentary Cries From Syria and his 2020 documentary Francesco, the latter of which features Pope Francis.
