"She's not dumb!" Katherine Kelly Lang delves deep into B&B's Brooke

The Bold and the Beautiful put Brooke Logan front and center this week, and portrayer Katherine Kelly Lang is having just as much fun as viewers, reliving some of the character's best moments.

It's all about Brooke this week on The Bold and the Beautiful as the CBS soap opera continues its theme weeks of throwback episodes filling their airspace during the coronavirus pandemic. The Brooke-centric episodes are taking fans down memory lane via major moments from Brooke's legendary romances with Ridge (first, Ronn Moss; now, Thorsten Kaye), Eric (John McCook), and Nick (Jack Wagner), as well as the unforgettable episode in which Brooke first met her longtime rival, Stephanie (Susan Flannery).

Katherine Kelly Lang spoke with TV Insider about some of her character's best moments, and she used the opportunity to point out that Brooke is one hell of a businesswoman.

"Brooke has brought a lot to Forrester -- she created BeLief, the wrinkle-free fabric solution, Brooke's Bedroom, and Taboo. She's been very successful," the actress shares. "I thought it was great when the show brought Brooke into more of a power position. It's good to show diversity in Brooke's life. She can be fun and sexy and also [a good businesswoman]. She came from a family that brought her up right. She worked hard and went to college. She's not dumb. She's smart, and at the same time, she has a big heart. She loves romance and fashion."

Of course, as B&B fans know, Stephanie wasn't a fan of Brooke's business ideas and never let her forget it! The two characters fought like cats and dogs over the course of nearly three decades, but Lang reveals that behind the scenes, she and Flannery were very close colleagues.

"I learned so much working with Susan. She taught me a lot," Lang shares. "She's tough and doesn't back down. She took it all so seriously. The show and her character meant so much to her. Her attitude was [imitating Flannery's voice], 'This is what we've got to do! And we've got to give it 100%!' I felt that way, too. She was so adamant. She made me nervous sometimes. But I wanted to show her that I could be right there with her. We did it. We had the best time working together."

When Brooke wasn't busy quarreling with Stephanie, she spent a lot of time in the arms of her various lovers -- most of all, Ridge. Friday's episode features a romantic reunion between the characters -- dubbed Bridge by fans.

"There's been romance from early on with our show," Lang says. "There are candles, roses, rose petals on the bed, the sexy clothes, and the whole jet set life. B&B is romance."
