Nostalgia is in full swing in the entertainment industry, with blasts from the past permeating series, scripts, streaming services, and everything in between. Fans of The Bold and the Beautiful's Katherine Kelly Lang (Brooke Logan) will be happy to hear that one such relic headed to the public is her very first film, Skatetown USA, which is being released on Blu-Ray later this month.
The actress took to social media with a photo of the case cover and the caption: "My first film Skatetown USA coming to Blu-Ray 9-24 by @sonypictures. So excited! It's a cult classic from 1979! Can't wait to get mine!"

The Saturday, August 24, Blu-Ray release marks the fortieth anniversary of the film that centers on two rivals who became friends while competing for a cash prize in a roller disco competition. Lang (who is credited in the movie as Kelly Lang) plays the role of Allison alongside the late Patrick Swayze, Scott Baio, Ruth Buzzi (ex-Leticia Bradford, Days of our Lives), Flip Wilson, Billy Barty, and Maureen McCormick (ex-Rebecca Hotchkiss, Passions).
Skatetown USA was Lang's first film role. She later went on to appear in the 1981 horror movie Evilspeak before landing TV series like 1st & Ten, Riptide, Happy Days, The Fall Guy, and Magnum P.I.. She joined The Bold and Beautiful as Brooke in 1987.
