Former The Bold and the Beautiful actor Rome Flynn (ex-Zende Forrester) is the latest star to sign on to the upcoming Netflix comedy Family Reunion, which already boasts Tia Mowry and Loretta Devine.
Rome Flynn has wowed audiences with his drama skills, both as Gabriel Maddox on his current show, How to Get Away with Murder, and as Zende Forrester on his former soap opera, The Bold and the Beautiful. And now, he's getting the chance to flex his comedy muscles as part of the cast of the new Netflix sitcom Family Reunion.
"I am so excited to tell you all, I am working on this show for Netflix, Family Reunion," Flynn revealed in an Instagram story, adding that he is "so humbled to be a part of" the sitcom and is excited for fans to see the project, created and executive produced by Meg DeLoatch (Fuller House, Eve).
According to Deadline, Family Reunion is a multi-generational live-action comedy that follows Sister, Sister actress Tia Mowry as Cocoa McKellan, a free-spirited, fun, conscious mother from Seattle. When she and her former football-playing husband, Moz, travel with their four children from their home in the big city to the small town of Columbus, Georgia, for the McKellan Family Reunion, they get to know an extended family they didn't even realize they were missing.

Loretta Devine stars as the loving but strict matriarch of the family, M'Dear, while Anthony Alabi plays Cocoa's husband. Additional stars of the sitcom include Talia Jackson as 14-year-old Jade, Isaiah Russell-Bailey as 12-year-old Shaka, Cameron J. "CJ" Wright as 10-year-old Mazzi, and Jordyn Raya James as 8-year-old Ami.
"We look forward to bringing families together to enjoy the hilarious and heartwarming stories of this multi-generational American family living together and discovering the importance of connecting with their roots," said Melissa Cobb, VP of Kids and Family at Netflix. "Meg DeLoatch has created a warm, funny and memorable extended family that we believe will resonate with audiences around the world and she has assembled an incredibly talented all-black writers room to authentically portray these characters and their journey."
Flynn played the role of B&B's Zende from 2015 to 2017 before going on to star in The Haves and Have Nots and How to Get Away with Murder. At this time, it's unclear if Flynn's role in Family Reunion will conflict with filming How to Get Away with Murder, which has yet to be renewed for its next season.
