Let's Make a Deal host Wayne Brady made one heck of a deal with The Bold and the Beautiful: he has signed on as a series regular character on the soap.
If anyone knows a thing or two about wheeling and dealing, it's certainly Let's Make a Deal host Wayne Brady. And he just managed quite a sweet deal with The Bold and the Beautiful.
According to Entertainment Weekly, the game show entertainer has joined the soap in the series regular role of Zoe's (Kiara Barnes) father, Dr. Buckingham. And while that is fantastic enough in and of itself, what makes it a truly big deal is that he'll be pulling double duty and will also continue as host of Let's Make a Deal.
Brady will be taping his first B&B episode this Friday and will make his debut on November 30 as the doctor, who is described as a "worldly, intelligent, and sophisticated" man who "quickly finds himself entangled in a web of passion and mystery" after signing on at a Los Angeles-area hospital.

As Soap Central readers may recall, Brady recently visited the set of B&B to cheer on his daughter Maile, who appeared on the CBS soap earlier this month in a guest-starring capacity. The game show host took the opportunity to tell B&B executive producer/head writer Bradley Bell that he watched the soap growing up and would love to join in on the fun. Bell's response was to deal him in on the action with the newly created role.
B&B viewers were just recently introduced to Zoe, who made her debut on the CBS series as Xander's obsessive ex-girlfriend in July.
Brady, who just this year won a Daytime Emmy award for hosting Let's Make A Deal, his first since he took over the position of Let's Make a Deal host in 2009. In 2014, he picked up a Daytime Emmy for Outstanding Original Song "30,000 Reasons to Love Me," which he performed on Let's Make A Deal. He previously won two Daytime Emmys for his role as the host of The Wayne Brady Show. He also picked up a Primetime Emmy Award in 2003 for Outstanding Individual Performance in a Variety or Music Program for his work on Whose Line Is It Anyway?.
His previous acting credits include The Drew Carey Show, Everybody Hates Chris, How I Met Your Mother, The Loud House, Colony, and Sofia the First.
