The Bold and the Beautiful original cast member John McCook (Eric Forrester) is on the mend after receiving a hip replacement.
The Bold and the Beautiful's John McCook (Eric Forrester) has been sidelined due to a health issue, but he isn't letting the temporary setback affect his funny bone.
The actor took to Twitter with a humorous post that reveals that both he and his daughter just got new parts -- his daughter got a part on a television series, and he got a new body part!
"Molly and I both got new parts today: Last Man Standing for her, a hip replacement for me!!" he shared.

It's nice to know that despite the unfortunate health circumstances, McCook -- who has played B&B's Eric since 1987 -- remains in good spirits. His fans, however, might not be. The veteran actor hasn't been a large part of the canvas this year, and it seems he likely won't be anytime soon. It can take up to six weeks to fully recover from a hip replacement.
As for McCook's daughter Molly, she has landed the role of Mandy, one of Tim Allen and Nancy Travis' on-screen daughters, in Last Man Standing. The role was previously played by Molly Ephraim, who opted out of the role when Fox picked up the seventh season a year after ABC originally canceled the series.
