B&B's Pierson Fodé

B&B's Pierson Fodé

Pierson Fodhas opted to exit The Bold and the Beautiful after nearly three years of playing Thomas Forrester.

Hot on the heels of the news that Rome Flynn is leaving his role as The Bold and the Beautiful's Zende Forrester comes word that another young actor is on his way out. Pierson Fod is exiting the role of Thomas Forrester on the CBS soap.

"I'll tell you what. As far as my time goes in L.A., this has been one of the hardest decisions I've made," Fod told Soap Opera Digest. "I've invested two-and-a-half years of my life into this. You really do create this relationship on set with people, and you get used to seeing them every day. I'm also getting a steady paycheck, and I'm getting some notoriety out of it and some different things, but the decision that went into it was hard because you want to have your cake and eat it, too. You want to be there and I still want to go off and shoot a Marvel movie. I want to still be shooting on B&B and I want to do a Netflix series, and at the end of the day, you can't do it all. And that was the choice that I had to make."

Viewers who have been consistently tuning in likely won't be surprised, considering the character has slowly been written into the background. Not only did Thomas quit Forrester Creations, but he also started backing away from his family and broke up with Sally (Courtney Hope). As it stands, the only character he continues to have strong ties to is Caroline (Linsey Godfrey), whose short return to the soap is almost over.

At press time, a B&B rep had yet to respond to Soap Central's request for comment.

Fod joined B&B in 2015. Previous portrayers include Adam Gregory, Drew Tyler Bell, and Patrick Dorn.

Fod has already taped his final scenes and will last air on September 14.
