Soap veteran Anthony Addabbo has died

Longtime soap opera star Anthony Addabbo (ex-Rush/Jonny, B&B; ex-Jim, GL; ex-Jeff, Dallas; ex-Jason, Generations) has passed away.

Soap veteran Anthony Addabbo (ex-Rush/Jonny Carerra, The Bold and the Beautiful; ex-Jim Lemay, Guiding Light; ex-Jeff Peters, Dallas; ex-Jason, Generations; ex-Dimitri Marick, All My Children) has died at the age of 56.

The actor's friend B&B's Winsor Harmon (Thorne Forrester) shared the sad news on Facebook.

"Today we lost a damn good man a father and great actor. Here's to you TA. We shared many glasses of Vino Rosso together brother. I'll never forget how excited you were to land B&B. By the way you still owe me that lobster dinner. I'll collect next time I see ya. We will miss you my dear friend. RIP. I know you're walking the streets of Gold bringing joy to the Angels as you did here on earth. God Bless you man. Love and miss you brother."

"So saddened at the passing of my friend and coworker from @bandb_cbs," Tracey Bregman (Lauren Fenmore, B&B/The Young and the Restless) shared on Instagram. "Too soon #anthonyaddabbo Way too soon."

Addabbo has a long rsum that includes roles in television shows like Life Goes On, Cheers, Diagnosis Murder, Red Shoe Diaries, and Homeland. His soap opera roles are peppered throughout and include a stint on Generations in 1989, Dallas in 1991, B&B from 1997 to 1998, and GL from 1999 to 2000. He also served as a temporary replacement for Michael Nader in the role of All My Children's Dimitri Marick in 2001.

Addabbo is survived by his wife, Elli Pattino, and their 17-year-old son, Brandon.
