It's quite literally the end of an era for The Bold and the Beautiful. Ronn Moss (Ridge Forrester), one of the show's original cast members is exiting the show.

According to a published report, CBS slashed The Bold and the Beautiful's production budget, and the show's belt-tightening trickled down to the actors' salaries. B&B is produced by Bell Phillip Television.

"The actor decided the reduced pay was unacceptable and left on his own accord," Entertainment Weekly reported.

Moss, who is still recuperating from a recent car accident, could not be reached for comment.

"Ronn has spent an amazing 25 years with B&B," a spokesperson for The Bold and the Beautiful said in a statement. "We will always consider him family, and we wish him only the best in all of his future endeavors."

With Moss out, that will leave Susan Flannery (Stephanie Forrester), Katherine Kelly Lang (Brooke Logan), and John McCook (Eric Forrester) as the only cast members who have been with the show since its debut in March 1987.

Moss will shoot his final scenes for The Bold and the Beautiful on August 14, according to EW. Those scenes will air sometime in mid-September.
