B&B wins LUNGevity Award

The Bold and the Beautiful's poignant, reality-based storylines have caught the attention of fans and critics. Now, the CBS soap has picked up another high-profile award.

Hallucinogenic berries were not on the reception menu at the exotic wedding destination when former The Bold and The beautiful star Lorenzo Lamas married his fifth bride at the Casa Dorada Resort in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, April 30th. Breaking with tradition, the bride wore no shoes, and the newlyweds were pronounced Mr. and Mrs. Shawna Craig -- according to TMZ.

At twenty-four, model Shawna Craig is one year older than her new stepdaughter, Shane Lamas, who played the young Carly Corinthos on GH in 2005. TMZ reported that, after four unsuccessful marriages, Lorenzo Lamas desperately sought a change in luck and hoped that taking his new wife's last name might do the trick.

Shane Lamas, who's expecting her first child in November, reportedly warned her 53 year-old father to marry Craig or die alone. After a three-month courtship, Lamas took his daughter's advice, donned a black suit and flip-flops, and married Craig in a beachside ceremony before guests including his former B&B co-stars Ronn Moss (Ridge Forrester) and Winsor Harmon (Thorne Forrester).

Lorenzo Lamas stars in the E! reality show, Leave it to Lamas, but is best known for his role on the retired primetime soap, Falcon Crest. Lamas was a member of the B&B cast from 2004-2006 and played Hector Ramirez. Lorenzo's son, AJ Lamas, briefly played Rafael Ortega on ATWT in 2004.
